Loss, now that’s hard.

Have you ever lost a close friend or family member?

I have. Many times. In fact, every year, from 2020 on, me and my family have lost someone dear.

In June, my sweet friend Kanasy from my writing group passed away from lung cancer. She was almost 18 years old. She was a great encouragement partner, and prayer partner. I miss her very much.

Psalm 34: 17-19 is our verse today.

The Lord hears his people when they call to him for help. He rescues them from all their troubles. The Lord is close to the brokenhearted, he rescues those who are crushed in spirit. The righteous person faces many troubles, but the Lord comes to the rescue each time. (NLT translation)

If you have experienced loss, talk to God. He always listens to his children. We are his children and God loves us very much.

Here are a few ways to deal with loss ,

  1. Read Psalm 91, Psalm 46, and Psalm 34.
  2. Tell your family how you feel.
  3. Pray. God hears our prayers.
  4. Listen to good clean music.

I’m only a teen, so do what is best for you.

may God bless you today and always.
