hi everyone! As I write, I’m struggling with a bad headache, and still recovering from my second surgery.

I want to share one of my favorite hymns; be thou my vision.

Verse 1: Be thou my vision, o Lord of my heart- Nought be all else to me, save that thou art; thou my best thought, by day or by night, waking or sleeping, thy presence my light.

Verse 4: High king of Heaven, my victory won, may I reach Heaven’s joys, O bright Heaven’s sun! Heart of my own heart, what ever befall, still be my vision, o ruler of all.

Heart of my own heart, whatever befall, still be vision, o ruler of all.

Here are a few things about this hymn from Ireland (Originally it was an Irish hymn) that we can learn about.

1: God is our vision, he is our good Father.

2: He is our high king forevermore. We are his children.

3: God knows each of us by name, for we are his creation.

4: we don’t have to be alone, God is ever near, ever real, and ever present.

Dear (Add you name for God here) , help me see that you are my vision, you are my high king forever. You are my Father. I know that you comfort us everyday, and you walk next to me when I am alone. Be with me this day, and always.

You are ever real, ever near, and ever present Lord.
